I worked with the startup Elevation Furniture to develop a bed that can be raised to your ceiling when not in use to take advantage of space in urban apartments.

1. Asked questions to clearly define problem and develop team's understanding of core problems, ultimately leading to innovation of new system 
2. Developed proof-of-concept constant torque spring system to replace counterweight with team of four
3. Redesigned 190lb bed frame and system integration to be 50lb, cheap, and versatile by starting with Ikea frame
4. Discussed technical specs with suppliers to determine best materials, springs, and other parts for the system within price range
5. Emphasized clear communication to maintain team efficiency in remote work, including initiating video introductions
6. Advanced quickly to become lead intern
